Philosophy

Our core philosophy lies in understanding the unique talents and perspectives of autistic individuals rather than focusing on their disabilities. Autism Works recognizes that these young adults can contribute productively to the workforce with the right support. By providing a nurturing and accommodating work environment, they help their employees hone essential trade skills that are marketable and valuable in various industries.

Ryan DeCant's background in art and design infuses a creative approach within the organization, creating unique avenues for the employment of autistic individuals. Be it through crafting, designing, or other artistic pursuits, the organization helps these young adults find their niche, turning their inherent skills into professional competencies.

Vision

Our vision extends beyond employment by instilling a sense of self-worth, independence, and pride in our employees. Moreover, they play a vital role in challenging stereotypes and prejudices related to autism, showing that with proper support and opportunity, autistic individuals can thrive in professional settings.

In a time where neurodiverse individuals often face hurdles in employment, Autism Works stands as an organization of inclusion and empowerment. By recognizing the potential in those who might be overlooked by traditional employment channels, we are not only creating a workforce but are building a community that resonates with empathy, compassion, and understanding. Ryan DeCant's vision of harnessing the unique abilities of autistic young adults is an inspiring example of how creativity and empathy can drive social change.
